NOVEMBER 2006 October was a really great month, musically and otherwise. Milestones of all kinds were reached last month musically and otherwise. Thanks to all who came out to SONO Caffeine on October 12th to listen to Carl and I! It was really fun to sing standards, especially the Miles Davis and Ellington tunes. Carl plays a mean keyboard. It's always a pleasure to sing with him. I never know what is just around the corner. It was truly lovely to play the RiverHouse Tavern in Westport, which was like being on a boat on the Saugatuck (I think it's the Saugatuck?) Even though torrential rains kept many at home, Robert, the superior mixologist at the RiverHouse, made the best drinks I've ever tasted. He made an unbelievable improvised concotion featuring Malibu and Midori that put me in a tropical paradise. You won't find a better bartender in Fairfield County, I reckon.
